Prinsjesdag (in English: day of the princelings) is the day on which the Queen addresses a joint session of the Upper and Lower Houses of Parliament in the Ridderzaal or Hall of Knights in The Hague .
The Speech from the Throne sets out the main features of government policy for the coming parliamentary session. The occasion is prescribed by the constitution, article 65 of which states:
A statement of the policy to be pursued by the Government shall be given by or on behalf of the King before a joint session of the two Houses of the States General that shall be held every year on the third Tuesday in September or on such earlier date as may be prescribed by Act of Parliament.

The Golden Coach with The Royal family, much crowd among the route.

The Golden Coach with Queen Beatrix, Crown-prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Máxima arrives at The hall of knights in The Hague........

The 'golden coach', princess Máxima just steps out, helped by her husband, Crown-prince Willem-Alexander, Prince van Oranje. In Holland we are very proud and fond of the beautiful ánd smart Máxima (from Argentina) who will become our new Queen beside our new King Willem. They married on 02-02-'02 and have already three little daughters.....
"Speech of the throne." Everybody in Holland likes to know if he/she will getting it better in the coming year of course; this year the economie is very well doing...............so????
.......and of course Queen Beatrix is still be loved by many, she is 69 years now (*1938) Her husband Prince Claus died in 1992. She has three sons and about 8 great-grandchildren now.

On the end of the Ceremony, the Royal family appears on the balcon to greet the Dutch people...........(F.l.t.r. Prince Constantijn and his wife Princess Laurentine, Crown-prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Máxima, Queen Beatrix, her sister Princess Margriet and husband Prof.Mr.Pieter van Vollenhove.

A last greet: Princess Máxima, Queen Beatrix and her sister Princess Margriet............. there is always a crowd of people at this sort of ceremonies, many in orange clothes or with orange accessoires to honour te Royal family, who's name is "van Oranje"
For that reason, the Dutch also play football in orange shirts !!!!
